Lee has been the dynamic and inspiring Principal of High Park Gardens Montessori School for 10 years. Lee has an Honours BA in Art and Art History with a minor in Gender studies from the University of Toronto and an Art and Art History Diploma from Sheridan College. 

Lee is also the mom of two boys, both of whom are in the elementary program at High Park Gardens.  She is a gifted artist and illustrator and always includes an illustrated note for her boys' lunch boxes.  Lee loves music, learning the ukelele, and spending time with all the children and families in the School.  

WHERE HAVE YOU LIVED IN THE WORLD?

I was born in Dundee, Scotland and have lived in Canada and Scotland.

WHAT HAVE YOU STUDIED? HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN A TEACHER?

I studied art, art history, and gender studies at the University of Toronto and Sheridan College. I have my Early Childhood Montessori Diploma from Sheridan College, and my AMS credentials. I have taught for 17 years.

WHAT IS SOMETHING YOU ARE REALLY GOOD AT?

I am really good at cooking.

WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO WHEN YOU AREN’T AT SCHOOL?

When I am not at school, I like painting, drawing, and photography.

WHAT IS SOMETHING NOT EVERYONE KNOWS ABOUT YOU?

If you knew me really well, you would know that I love my boys to bits, I am a passionate educator, and I love what I do for a living. Also, that I want to publish my own children's book.

what are some of your most favourite things?

My favourite books are: I want my hat back, by J.Klassen, On the night you were born, by N.Tillman, and Arnie the Doughnut, by L.Keller.
