WHERE HAVE YOU LIVED IN THE WORLD?
I was born in Etobicoke and have lived in Toronto and Vancouver.
WHAT HAVE YOU STUDIED? HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN A TEACHER?
I studied Photography at Toronto Metropolitan University (BFA) and completed a Masters of Fine Arts at Emily Carr University in Vancouver. I then completed a Masters of Science in Elementary Education and have been teaching since 2012.
WHAT IS SOMETHING YOU ARE REALLY GOOD AT?
I am really good at photography, small sculpture and watercolours.
WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO WHEN YOU AREN’T AT SCHOOL?
Outside of school I like to make my own earrings and get excited about DIY projects and costumes. I enjoy going to the gym and my weekly Muay Thai class. I can be found biking along the lakeshore or listening to podcasts. I keep up my photography practice exhibiting my work at art fairs or local galleries.
WHAT IS SOMETHING NOT EVERYONE KNOWS ABOUT YOU?
That I am an 80s retro music enthusiast and vinyl collector. My favourite time of day is coffee time. I have a pet gecko named gonzo, and love children's books. I have a special spot in my heart for Peter h. Reynolds' "The Dot".
