Toddler Guide (Maternity Leave)

High Park Gardens Montessori School is seeking an extraordinary Toddler Guide to start immediately (January 1, 2019).  This is a maternity leave position for 9 months (January through August) with a possibility of extension.

We are seeking an individual who has a Bachelor’s degree as well as a Toddler certification from a recognized, accredited Montessori training institute (MACTE accreditation preference) in addition to a sound understanding of the Montessori philosophy and methodology.

This position requires good organizational and team work skills, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills and an ability to communicate positively and openly with parents.

The Guide will report directly to the Principal of the School.

Taddle Creek is looking for a part-time Casa classroom assistant starting immediately. This position is a great opportunity for a newly trained Casa teacher to gain valuable experience in a Montessori classroom.

The ideal candidate has:

  • AMI or MACTE approved Montessori Casa training or RECE

  • if RECE, Montessori assistants training is an asset

  • secondary skills/training in specific areas, including French, music, art and athletic pursuits

  • enthusiasm for working in a collaborative environment

  • respect for children and a friendly demeanour
