WHERE HAVE YOU LIVED IN THE WORLD?

I was born in the Beaches neighbourhood of Toronto. I was raised here and have also lived in Neuchâtel, Switzerland, Vancouver, British Columbia and Santa Barbara, California.

WHAT HAVE YOU STUDIED? HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN A TEACHER?

I finished my last year of High School at Neuchâtel Junior College in Switzerland and I completed my BA in Sociology from the University of Western Ontario. I then completed a Primary Teaching Diploma from Association Montessori Internationale in Vancouver B.C. I also have a Diploma in Fashion Merchandising and Marketing from the International Academy of Design and Technology in Toronto. I have been teaching since 2000 and moved to administration in 2022.

WHAT LANGUAGES DO YOU SPEAK?

I speak English and French fluently and would love to learn to speak Spanish.

WHAT IS SOMETHING YOU ARE REALLY GOOD AT?

I am really good at swimming, singing and playing guitar and making children smile.

WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO WHEN YOU AREN’T AT SCHOOL?

When I am not at school, I like to play with my Basset Hound, Ladybird (aka Birdie), dance with my daughter Liv and cook with my husband.

WHAT IS SOMETHING NOT EVERYONE KNOWS ABOUT YOU?

That I love to act out skits and be silly. I have also been the lead singer in several rock bands and love to sing and play guitar.

WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR MOST FAVOURITE THINGS?

I love forest bathing, swimming in lakes and walking my dog. My favourite foods are steak and gruyere cheese. I love observing, listening and chatting with young people of all ages, they make the world go round!
